Our WATER BAPTISMS and BABY DEDICATIONS at Shiloh are a great way to celebrate new life and new beginnings.

Water Baptism is one of the most important and powerful Christian rituals. Following the example of Jesus Himself when he was baptised by John the Baptist before ministry, it is a public declaration of faith and a way to show your commitment to God. It is also a symbolic act that washes away your past and gives you a fresh new start.

Here at Shiloh, we don’t baptise or Christen babies, as we believe that this is a personal decision to be made as an adult, as modeled in the Bible.

Instead, Baby Dedications are a ceremony at Shiloh in which parents make a commitment to raise their child according to Christian values and beliefs. It is an ancient tradition that has been practiced by Christians for centuries.

Baby dedications are typically done during one of our church services, and the Pastor will say a prayer over the child - dedicating their life to the Lord. This ceremony is a way for parents to publicly and powerfully declare their faith and commitment to raising their child in a Christian home.

We offer Water Baptisms and Baby Dedications frequently, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to take part in this beautiful and powerful tradition.
